In 2018 RYN SCOTT signed a record deal with Detroit producer Jake Bass at Bassment Sounds and together they have released multiple singles including their latest song “TGFTB2” (2023) and their debut album “Peaks & Valleys” (2022.) Since their collaboration, RYN SCOTT opened for Joyner Lucas on his “I’m Kind of A Big Deal” tour (2019) at The Magic Stick in Detroit, The Beacham in Orlando, and The House of Blues in Boston, as well as his most recent “ADHD” tour (2022) at the Shelter in Detroit.

RYN SCOTT and Jake Bass continue to perform together on many stages including Soaring Eagle’s Arts Beats & Eats in Royal Oak, Detroit’s Harvest Fest & Food Truck Rally, The Taco Fest in Royal Oak, and the Glizzy Fest in Flint. They have been featured on Detroit’s Channel 4 Live in the D (2020) and most recently nominated for a 2023 Detroit Music Award.

RYN SCOTT was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI and now resides in the Metro-Detroit area. His Michigan roots & his love for family and friends are reflected throughout his music alongside his desire to encourage others. RYN SCOTT believes in having understanding, authenticity, & compassion and strives to remind his audience of the same as he brings fourth an incomparable energy through the mic.

Though RYN SCOTT still has many hopes & dreams for his musical career, he is enamored at how far he has come as an artist. He’s recorded and performed with other major artists such as Locksmith and Jon Connor both whom impacted his own strive to artistry. “From being a fan to having them rapping right beside you” (Break A Leg, 2020) RYN SCOTT is experiencing first hand how far faith, commitment, and talent can really take you. RYN SCOTT’s primary hope through all of this is to continue to make an impact on his audience and to inspire and remind young artist like himself that life is less about the destination and more about the present moment in the journey itself.
